Interchangeable Feed Assemblies: Screw feed, gravity feed, or a stainless steel fitting, allowing for granular Primary Milling, or pump-through, slurry feeding for Secondary Milling.
Plates - the Heart of the Mill: A variety of mill plate patterns and finishes are available to produce a broad range of butter textures; from coarse ground to extremely fine ground ultra-smooth. The plates are cast, precision ground and balanced, machined from alloys that produce an extremely hard and abrasion-resistant material. Plate life in most peanut butter applications is in the multi-million pound range, which reduces maintenance costs to a negligible factor.
Belt Drive: Allows for same operation speeds from either 50-hertz or 60-hertz electrical service to maintain optimum performance. Allows mill speeds to be adjusted to suit a variety of applications.
Quick-Release Mechanism: This mechanism allows plates to be separated manually and then reset to the original, precise plate clearance, without disturbing the tempering screw when the mill is either idle or operating at full speed.
Tempering Screw-Micrometer Dial: The tempering screw, used to adjust the plate clearance, is convenient to the operator. The micrometer dial precisely indicates plate clearance for milling a wide range of textures.

Bearings: Precision ball bearings are used throughout. Bearings at outer end of shaft carry combined radial and thrust loads, which accurately maintain clearance between grinding plates.
Head-and-Shaft Assembly: A heavy steel head casting is completely machine finished, then mounted on a ground and polished steel shaft and dynamically balanced. The disk is connected to the shaft with a tapered fit for easy field removal. Also available in 316 stainless steel.
Build-In Thermometer: Continuously monitors discharge temperature, which can be used as a quick reference of mill performance.
Hinged Front Plate: Front plate is constructed to maximize accessibility for rapid inspection, servicing, cleaning, and plate replacement. Available in cast iron, cast steel, or 316 stainless steel.
Variable-Speed Screw Feeder: A variable-speed feeder drive on the primary mill controls production rates by conveying product with stabilizers and other additives into the grinding chamber. Separate inlets are supplied for product feed, dry ingredients and liquid additives. Mill will thoroughly melt and blend additives to produce a homogeneous mixture when discharged.
